How the Brain to Body System Provides Chronic Pain Relief in Pleak, TX

To reverse chronic pain and/or nerve disease, areas of the body that have become weak due to disease or injury must be strengthened. This includes your brain, nerves, muscles, blood vessels, and cells. Our experts here at Texas Nerve and Spine developed the most advanced pain and nerve therapy system to do all of this and more, and we call it the Brain to Body System.

From fibromyalgia and disc herniations to diabetic neuropathy and sciatica, our Brain to Body System helps restore your health and corrects the causes of your problems. Unlike treatments from other nerve and spine clinics, our system provides long-term relief without relying on invasive surgeries or dangerously addictive pharmaceutical medications.

To understand how our Brain to Body System solves chronic pain and similar conditions like nerve disease, you need a basic knowledge of the conditions themselves. That way, you can understand why so many who suffer from them rarely improve.

Chronic Pain

Chronic Pain

This is a type of pain that does not get better on its own or that doesn't alleviate after traditional medical treatments or prescription pain meds.

Nerve Disease

Nerve Disease

This is a type of pain that does not get better on its own or that doesn't alleviate after traditional medical treatments or prescription pain meds.

Chronic pain from nerve diseases and serious injuries causes a domino effect within your body. It starts with inflammation, which leads to decreased blood supply. This reduced blood supply results in a lack of oxygen. When your body doesn't get enough oxygen, it loses crucial nutrients that your body needs. This progressive effect often leads to long-term problems such as:

  • Chronic Pain
  • Motor-Function Loss
  • Loss of Sensation
  • Muscular Atrophy
  • Loss of Movement
  • Depression

But with Texas Nerve and Spine's Brain to Body system, patients suffering from chronic pain and nerve disease build strength through rehabilitation. This advanced system helps:

  • Stimulate New Nerve Pathways
  • Strengthen and Grow Muscles
  • Promotes Cellular Repair
  • Improves Circulation and Blood Flow

Our Brain to Body System is central to our approach to chronic musculoskeletal pain relief and chronic nerve pain relief in Pleak, TX. By following the Brain to Body system, we can provide several services to patients suffering from chronic pain and nerve damage.

EWOT:Exercise with Oxygen Therapy

Here's a fact you might not know: Breathing in higher levels of oxygen than you normally take in actually helps improve your health. Also called EWOT, exercising with oxygen is a technique that increases oxygen circulation at a much more rapid pace than oxygen therapy alone. Create New Blood Cells

How Does EWOT Work?

At Texas Nerve and Spine, our doctors use the NuStep Recumbent Cross Trainer to help achieve the aforementioned benefits. This specialized machine trains your muscles, brain, and nerves to work together, which supports your body's healing processes. While using the NuStep Recumbent Cross Trainer, patients are hooked up to an oxygen generator to enjoy the benefits of EWOT and reach their chronic pain relief goals.

When you oxygenate your blood with EWOT, it can have amazing benefits that can:

  • Restore Blood Flow
  • Improve Oxygen Circulation
  • Reduce Inflammation
  • Boost Energy
  • Increase Strength

ReleaseMyofascial Release Therapy

Myofascial Release therapy gives patients chronic pain relief in Pleak, TX, and boosts joint mobility by loosening up restricted, tight muscles. Though there are similarities to traditional massages, myofascial release therapy focuses on soft tissues and the muscular system in your body to relieve tension and stress on muscles.

How Does Myofascial Release Therapy Work?

Restricted muscles have reduced blood flow and less oxygen. When this happens, it leads to limited movement and pain that is often intense. Our program uses state-of-the-art technology to apply acute, high-velocity vibration directly to the affected tissue to provide the patient with the environment necessary to increase mobility which, over time, can exponentially reduce pain

Benefits of this type of treatment include:

  • Improved Tissue Recovery
  • Reduced Soreness
  • Improved Joint Range of Motion

As is the case with any spinal cord injury, the nerves around the spine get weak. When this happens, pain develops, and recovery is halted. Suppose you're searching for a safe, effective way to deal with a painful spine issue like sciatica or a herniated disc. PeripheralNeuropathy Rehabilitation

Peripheral neuropathy occurs when there is a lack of blood flow to the nerves in areas like your feet and hands. When these nerves are devoid of blood, they begin to decay and degenerate because they don't have enough oxygen or nutrients. Eventually, the nerves in your body shrivel up, causing pain, numbness, balance problems, and other painful symptoms.

How Does Peripheral Neuropathy Rehabilitation Work?

Our Brain to Body program works wonders for neuropathy issues like these by using state-of-the-art technology like laser therapy and personalized, strategic plans of action created around our patient's needs. TherapySpinal Decompression Therapy

Spinal conditions range in severity from barely noticeable to absolutely crippling. To get to the bottom of your spine conditions, our team uses X-Rays to pinpoint the location of your spine's disease. From there, we craft a custom rehabilitation program that addresses the underlying causes of your spine pain. Often, part of that therapy includes spinal decompression.

Pain Specialist Pleak, TX

How Does Spinal Decompression Therapy Work?

Spinal decompression works by gently stretching the spine. When the spine is stretched, it changes its position. This change relieves pressure off the discs in your spine, which act as cushions in your back. By creating negative pressure, herniated and bulging discs retract, giving the nerves and structures in your back relief. This relief sends nutrient-rich fluids and oxygen to the discs in your back so they can heal properly.

Southwest Airlines has “Banded Together” for a new collaboration on what may be the carrier’s loudest airplane paint job yet.

The Dallas-based carrier unveiled its new Trolls-themed plane to promote the upcoming DreamWorks Animation film Trolls: Band Together, the third movie in the franchise based on the wild-haired and presumably musical toys.

Southwest landed the Trolls plane in Dallas on Thursday night out of Spokane, Wash., where the Boeing 737-700 was painted and brightly decorated with the Trolls: Band Together logo, and main characters Poppy and Branch, played by Anna Kendrick and Justin Timberlake. One side of the plane also features Poppy and her long-lost sister Viva, a yellow-haired troll played by pop star Camila Cabello.

Planespotters in North Texas may even be able to catch the plane today.

The specially-designed aircraft took off Friday from Dallas Love Field bound for Burbank, Calif., before it headed to Denver, Santa Ana and finally Phoenix to finish off a busy day, according to Flightradar24.com.

Southwest has done specialty liveries to honor company and aerospace milestones, the NBA, and locations where it has a key presence.

It’s the second time that Southwest has gone all-in on a movie promotion. Southwest did a Coco-themed plane in 2017 for the release of the Disney/Pixar movie.

Other airlines have waded into movie marketing with Seattle-based Alaska Airlines partnering on a handful of Pixar films such as Toy Story and The Incredibles, Japanese airline All Nippon decorating in celebration of Pokemon. Fort Worth-based America Airlines even did a crossover Avengers: Infinity War and Stand Up to Cancer livery in 2018 for the epic crossover Marvel Studios film.

The special Trolls: Band Together paint job will likely only hang around for a few months. The movie comes out Nov. 17 in U.S. theaters.

Here’s a sneak peak at a video that Southwest passengers will be able to watch promoting the film:

Breathing well is critical in fighting fires, so four fire departments in Fort Bend County have received new breathing equipment purchased through an $802,400 regional grant.

Leaders from Rosenberg, Needville, Pleak and Fairchilds fire departments paused from their normal duties on Tuesday, Feb. 8, to show off 112 self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) air packs that will help firefighters breathe during fire incidents and protect them from any harmful materials in the air around them.

A Federal Emergency Management Agency Assistance of Firefighters Grant funded the life-saving air packs. The city of Rosenberg submitted the grant application around two years ago on behalf of the four cities.

“So, today we’re announcing that we’re getting us equipment now out to the stations,” said Needville FD Captain Dwayne “Sparky” Anderson at a press event at Rosenberg Fire Station No. 2. “It’s been inventoried and processed, ready to go. And we’ll put them in service immediately.”

Complete with SCBA masks and cylinders, the air packs will replace older packs with much newer technology for improved safety and respiratory protection. They are also equipped with enhanced accountability systems that allow departments to track where their firefighters are during an incident, how much air they have left and how long they have been out, all from fire and command trucks, explained Rosenberg FD Fire Chief Darrell Himly.

Dwain Ustynik, Needville FD training and compliance chief, said aside from gear, SBAC air packs are the most important component for firefighters. Without them, they can’t enter a burning building or area.

Outfitting all four departments with the new equipment at one time rather than in waves is a big advantage, Ustynick said, because it creates uniformity and compatibility across departments that share in mutual aid partnerships.

Needville FD manages a truck acquired in 2014 that serves all of Fort Bend County and surrounding counties and is specially designed to refill air packs during fire incidents so that firefighters can continue to battle blazes. The truck was also purchased through a regional grant.

Including all emergency calls, Rosenberg FD completed around 6,300 runs in 2021, and Needville completed around 960 runs. Ustynik said of those, about two-thirds of them were fire incidents.

“This is a great opportunity that was afforded our community with the regional grant process through FEMA Assistance to Firefighters Grant,” Himly said. “Firefighters have a history of working together and on fires, but this time we work together on getting all these air packs for our community.”

Traffic seems like an inevitability in Houston, even more so if you find yourself forced to return to the daily commute.

Data collected by GPS navigation company TomTom was released today as part of their 2022 traffic index report which details city-level traffic conditions across the U.S. and around the world over the last year.

Houston has been ranked the 26th most congested city in the U.S. in 2022, but methodology changes from 2021 make comparisons difficult.

Article continues below this ad

Last year, the index was based mostly on “congestion level” or how much longer a trip takes during heavy traffic when compared to uncongested road conditions across metro areas. This year the index focuses on general traffic patterns in a tighter radius around the city center.

Using the 2022 methodology on the 2021 data, Houston became slightly more congested – up two spots, from 28th to 26th.

If you want to avoid spending time in Houston traffic, this new data shows what days and times are the worst to be out on the roads.

On Wednesdays and Thursdays between 5pm and 6pm, it takes on average 13 minutes to travel just over 6 miles. That’s an average speed across all streets and highways in the city of 28.5 miles per hour.

Article continues below this ad

This roughly tracks with 2021’s report which saw just a touch more congestion on Thursdays.

Across the entire Houston metro area, one third of the time a driver spends on the road is the fault of congestion.

A driver with a 15 mile one-way commute, which takes roughly 30 minutes at peak rush hour, spent almost 9 full days, about 213 hours, commuting last year. Of those, 69 hours, or almost 3 days, were due to congestion.

A 5-day per week commute of 15 miles each way also costs drivers $806 in fuel over the year and emits 1,699 kg of CO2. Working from home on Wednesdays alone could save you $159, 43 hours, and 334 kg of CO2.

And if a driver needs to commute within the city center, these numbers spike even higher.

If you want to see more information on your personal commute, you can check out the data here and adjust the sliders to see just how much Houston traffic is costing you.

FORT BEND COUNTY, Texas – The National Weather Service confirmed that a tornado made its way through several communities along the Southwest Freeway in Fort Bend County early Tuesday.

After checking out the damage in the Bridlewood Estates neighborhood of Rosenberg, NWS meteorologist Dan Reilly said he is quite confident it was an F2 tornado that touched down.

"I'm in shock. I couldn't believe it," Keira Makle said. "It just happened so fast."

Residents say it lasted a terrifying two or three minutes. Their homes shook, they heard a loud rumble and their ears popped.

"About 8:45, I got a text message that said, 'Hey man, your house and shop got hit by a tornado,'" James Markle said. "You could see the damage coming in the subdividsion, the trees down. But once I got my area, it's heartbreaking, it's heartbreaking."

The tornado toppled his camper, tore up his deck and covered his precious Porsche with debris.

Across the street, Lisa Reyes was worried she and her mother wouldn't survive the powerful winds.

"I was texting my husband and brother and was like, 'It's hitting us, it's hitting us,'" she said as she choked back tears. "I was afraid nobody would find us. But we are fine. It's good. I'm crying. I don't know why I am crying."

One neighbor found a Texas flag in the debris and hoisted it above the damage.
